Starting Fresh - Fall 2007
For most students this is the time when you promise that you will do better this year; read every text book, start papers at least four weeks out, and not skip a class until absolutely necessary. This was always my thought when the start of any semester was near. However hard or pure my intentions, September would arrive with me already short in one or more of these goals. Once you have let one slip it seems that you might as well let the rest fall.
I wish there was a magic bullet to solve these problems. One thing I found is that it is more attitude than aptitude. A group of friends, such as Christian Challenge, can support and encourage anyone through those times. I still seek these groups of friends long after college. On my key chain is a Bible verse, Proverbs 27:17: As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. It can be impossible to grow and stretch to the point of being useful for the purposes which we are made without the aid of others. So, browse through this website and come check us out!
